Vaillant aroTHERM Plus Cascade Installation 12kw x2

Plant room with domestic hot water cylinder, water softner, buffer, and renewable heating.

Twin Vaillant aroTHERM Plus heat pumps configured in a cascade, hydraulically balanced with a reverse return, supplying weather compensated mixed and unmixed zones, a pool plate heat exchanger, domestic hot water generation. It features a high gain Joule Hot water cylinder, buffer and accumulator, and has been optimized to run the lowest flow temperatures possible for maximum efficiency.

A Viessmann Vitocal 150 - A plant room with Viessmann Divicons supplying a mixed and unmixed circuit, buffer sized for minimum modulation, and a high gain joule cylinder.

Designed to provide low temperature heating efficiently across multiple circuits while keeping the system easy to use and easy to maintain.

A project that involved a lot of planning and preparation behind the scenes to create a tidy, practical plant room with clean pipework and straightforward operation once commissioned.

Viessmann Vitocal 150 - A Installation

a hot water cylinder, and discharge pump in place of an old oil boiler, renewable heating - viessmann 150 - a

Viessmann Vitocal 150 retrofit completed in a traditional cottage property with radiator upgrades throughout to allow the system to run fully open loop on weather compensation.

Existing pipework resistance was assessed against the available head from the internal circulator to design the system without a buffer, helping to keep the system simple, efficient and easy to control at low flow temperatures.

Paired with a Joule high gain cylinder, expansion vessel and a filter and strainer relocated into the loft due to space constraints. A discharge pump was also installed due to limited gravity fall.

Designed to run fully open loop for simple, effcient operation. Paired with a Vaillant domestic hot water cylinder.

A tidy retrofit focused on good pipework, practical system design, minimizing downtime on heating and hot water for the client, and a long term outlook on efficiency. Third party monitoring software also installed on this system.

Viessmann VitoValor Pt2 Installation

a hydrogen fuel cell installation, a viessmann vitovalor pt2, modvbox pumping station, expansion vessels,
a laundry room with a esybox and dab tank mains water pressure boosting set, a great water water softner

Completed within a listed farmhouse property, this project involved redesigning and simplifying an ageing heating and hot water system into one central plant room built around a Viessmann VitoValor hydrogen fuel cell.

The existing setup consisted of multiple boilers, separate heating circuits and several vented hot water cylinders. The system was reconfigured to combine the heating circuits, improve hot water performance and allow independent operation for an annex heating zone.

Works included installation of a new secondary hot water return, mixed and unmixed heating circuits, along with a booster set and water softener to provide reliable mains pressure hot water throughout the property.

A technically interesting project that required careful planning and system design to modernize the property while working within the constraints of the older listed building.

a utility room before a new heat pump cylinder was fitted, this was paired with a nibe fighter 2005 heat pump

A unique retrofit project involving the removal of an almost 20 year old NIBE Fighter 2005 heat pump system, including the original integrated indoor module and cylinder (seen below).

The system was redesigned around a new Grant Aerona 290 heat pump, indirect high gain hot water cylinder and updated controls, with the expansion vessels relocated into the loft space to maximize servicing access and usable utility room space.

The system is designed to run fully open loop on weather compensation with underfloor heating throughout, a simple, efficient setup and a great combination of comfort, and running costs.
